Women in barnyard - 1920, 1942

These pictures of women in barnyards were taken from a collection found in a box whose original owner is unknown. We think the pictures came from the Flanagan area because many of the pictures had Melberg written on them. These pictures are what we call genre pictures in that they display real life scenes of everyday life that no longer exist - a time when women wore dresses regardless of where they were or what they were doing. A time when people and animals intermingled on the farm.

The picture at the top was taken in 1920 and the bottom one was taken in 1942. The women in the bottom picture seem to be walking around the barnyard after a family reunion. Audemars Piguet Replica Watches
