These Eurasian Ringed doves showed up one day at the farm of Don and Helen Ludwig.

These doves are quite rare in Central Illinois and were migrating through the area.

The doves stayed for about 10 days before they departed for the north.

Hel;en said that the Eurasian Ringed dove is bigger than regular doves and have an extra coo in their sound that sounds like a cross between an owl and a dove.
