Myles Harsten shows roots from the basil plants he grows in fish water at his aqua farm in Flanagan.

Basil plants grow in 150 foot long tanks containing fish water from fish tanks next door.

Up to 1000 talapia fish are held in the fish tanks. The fish tanks provide fertilized water for the basil plants and the basil plants remove the bacteria from the water which is recycled as fresh water back to the fish tanks.
