Herbert Harms Brought Home to Rest

A procession enters Minonk on Chestnut Street Thusrday night in Minonk bringing the remains of Herbert Harms, who was killed in World War II, to the Ruestman-Harris funeral home.



The procession included Illinois State Police, a Military Honor Guard and a Patriot Rider Escort.

The local color guard was at the ceremony.



The hearse arrives at the funeral home.



The casket was carried by the honor guard into the funeral home.



The honor guard leaves as the crowd of over 100 people watch.

Mr. Harms was listed as killed in action since 1944. He will be buried in the Rutland Cemetery on Saturday. To view his obituary, click here.
