City Grants Two TIF Requests

The MInonk City Council awarded TIF 2 money to Minonk Car Wash and JustCore at their Monday night meeting. JustCore requested $32,000 for improvements at their site at the north edge of Minonk but the money will be granted only after certain stipulations are worked out. Minonk Car Wash's request for $9,000 for improvements will be awarded whenever sufficient tax revenues are received in the TIF fund.
In other business, Adminstrative Manager Bill Moline said the new playground equipment for the Westside Park has been received and will be installed this spring after the existing wood structure is removed. Training for the Public Works/Ambulance employees will begin the week of January 21. The training sessions will include such topics as bloodborne pathogens, confined space entry and rescue, lock out tag out, trenching and shoring and defensive driving techniques. Mr. Moline added that he is working on the budget for 2019/2020.
